“This April, join Toronto Public Library for Keep Toronto Reading, a month-long showcase of books and culture. Enjoy an exciting line-up of free events, performances and discussions at library branches and partner locations throughout the city.”

Tundra authors participating:

Shyam Selvadurai, author of Swimming in the Monsoon Sea, will be featured in Lit City: Celebrity Picks at the Toronto Reference Library on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 7:00pm.

Richard Scrimger, author of From Charlie’s Point of View, will be featured in Counting Yourself In at the Bendale Branch on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 1:30pm.

Ken Setterington, author of The Snow Queen and Clever Katarina, will be featured in Heroes Of My Youth: The Women Of Scarborough at the Bendale Branch on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 7:00pm.

  1. Tundra Books is also generously supporting Keep Toronto Reading – for the third year in a row – by donating new books to our Keep Toronto Reading in the TTC book sales – taking place:

    * Mondays April 6 and 27 at Yonge/Bloor subway station
    * Monday April 20 at Finch subway station

    Customers can buy used books for just $1 – and for every $5 purchased, they get a new book free. Proceeds go to the Toronto Public Library Foundation.
